Summer 2017 Itinerary

My summer 2017 itinerary was hectic but eclectic. It was hugely centered in Europe, but far away from the maddening crowd of the big cities for the most part. I visited Russia for the second year in a row and the Arctic Circle enclave of Svalbard. I revisited Copenhagen, Stockholm, Barcelona, and Jerusalem. All spectacular cities in their own rights, but the Spanish province of Andalusia captures the top prize as the most compelling and memorable. I hiked, trekked, and backpacked – with the Norwegian fjords and the rice terraces of China and the Philippines as the standout trails. Replete with so many highlights, Summer 2017 breezed through swiftly but without leaving me with indelible impressions and a reignited spark to keep on exploring again…. I can’t wait for Summer 2018!
