I was picked up at 430am for the Hot Air Balloon Ride. It was pretty expensive, I believe it was 110 Euros — I think it was worth it though. According to Lonely Planet, Cappadocia is one of the highly recommended areas to invest on a Hot Air Balloon Ride. The views from up in the air were nothing short of magnificent. Plus, I had no idea when I will be able to get back to Turkey, much less Cappadocia. This was a must do when in this region. It was just so beautiful seeing balloons from different companies slowly gaining air and altitude. Truly magical!
After the ride, I was delivered back to my hostel where I managed to get breakfast and a couple of minutes nap. Then, I was off again to participate in the Green Tour, which included a trip to Derinkuyu Underground City (awesome, but crowded with tourists!), Ihlara Valley (amazing!) and Selime, a monastery carved on the rock formations.
After the trek, I quickly took the opportunity to swim in the pool of the hostel, which was surrounded by the rock formations.
